Bring it on!

RAAM 2013 starts today with solo categoriy. This year we have almost everybody from the first category group. Only the king will be watching the race from above.
Last years winner, Reto Schoch with its unbreakable swiss formula for success will be challenged with another Swiss, Dani Wyss. His way of doing RAAM was also unbreakable in 2009. Also trying to get a piece of action, Christoph Strasser, 2011 winner, will be strong. We must not forget about two seasoned veterans, Gerhard Gullewitz and Slovenian, Marko Baloh. Both of them took almost all places on RAAM, except the victory. Another very strong rider, on my opinion, is Chris Ragsdale. I was crewing for him on Race Around Slovenia 2012 when he was riding with Tim Case in 2 man teams. Chris is determined and organized. I belive he will be competitive, his rookie status may not help him, but lets wait and see.
Top guns will probably hammer it from the start. Although race is not decided in the first day, what is decisive is the state the rider is in when he leaves Arizona. Traditionally, all of them will be together till the first sleeping rest somewhere in the second night. I expect Marko Baloh and Gerhard Gullewitz to be together with Schoch, Wyss and Strasser.
They are all talking about under 8 days marker. In 2010, Jure was ready to do just that, but the weather was not cooperating. If weather cooperates, this field of riders can puch them selves to get to Atlantic ocean under 8 days.
Raam starts tonight (CET), bring it on!
